THE SECOND COLLECTION this week is for the Development Fund.

 


S PAY GLOBAL / SARAWAK PAY QR CODE STICKERS on the church pews are made available for the convenience of our parishioners and also to facilitate weekend Mass collections. However, these stickers quite often need to be replaced because they were found partially torn or defaced. We appeal to parents not to let your young children play, tear or draw on these stickers.

GENERAL REMINDER

Parishioners are reminded to show reverence to the Lord and consideration for others as follows. We seek your kind cooperation and understanding so that we can all worship comfortably as a Church:

 

-Please arrive early and be seated at least 10 minutes before Mass begins to avoid causing unnecessary interruption or distraction.

 

-The sacredness of the Eucharistic celebration urges all participants to dress appropriately when entering the Church for Holy Mass andmanifest the importance of what we are doing as a worshipping community.

 

-Wearing of face masks in Church is no longer mandatory but highly encouraged, especially in crowded and closed environment.

 

-Those sick with flu-like symptoms (e.g. fever, cough, runny nose, etc.) are to exercise prudence and refrain from joining the congregation in Church.

 

 

LOVE-OFFERING BOXES distributed by the Pontifical Society of Holy Childhood are available at the entrances to enable children in our parish to help other children in need. Parents are urged to inculcate the spirit of giving and encourage your children to participate in this Mission of the Church. Please return these boxes to the Parish Office latest by Tuesday, 2 January 2025.

BOYS' BRIGADE 'BB LOVE BOX' 2024' is an annual community outreach project to the poor and needy. Parishioners are requested to donate the following items before the end of November:

 

(i)  5 kg rice & 2 kg cooking oil (bottled); and / or

(ii) Stationery sets & school bags for school-going children 4 to 17 years of age.

 

Please send your donated items to the BB Collection Booth located at the main entrance of the Cathedral during the weekend Masses. Those who wish to send in their contribution / donations on a week day may contact Captain Desmond Chan @ Hp:019-8168229 for separate arrangement.

 

HOUSE-TO-HOUSE CHRISTMAS CAROLING-  Parishioners who wish to invite Christmas Carolling groups to your homes are requested to scan the QR code OR fill-in the Request forms available at the Church entrances. Please return your completed forms to the Drop-off boxes provided at the Church entrances or send them directly to the Parish Office latest by Thursday, 28 November 2024.
