DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING FOR PEACE in particular for the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan will be observed on Friday, 23 February 2018 as announced by His Holiness Pope Francis recently. Although not obligatory, all Catholics in the Archdiocese are invited to join in this initiative. The Holy Father has also extended this invitation to members of other religions. Those who wish to heed this appeal may do so in the forms they consider most suitable in accordance with their own traditions and in their own places of worship.

 

STATIONS OF THE CROSS will be held every Friday throughout the Season of Lent as follows:-

 

St. Joseph’s Cathedral

2:30 pm in Mandarin, followed by Mass

5:30 pm in English, followed by Mass

 

St. Mark's Church, Batu Kawa

6:30 pm in Eng / BM, followed by Mass

8:00 pm in Mandarin, followed by Mass

 

Parishioners coming for the 5:30 pm Stations of the Cross and staying on for the mass at the Cathedral are reminded NOT to double-park or block vehicles of fellow parishioners who may wish to leave after the Stations of the Cross.

 

MID-DAY MASS will be celebrated by Archbishop Emeritus John Ha 12:30 pm in the Carmelite Chapel for all Catholics on every Friday afternoon in Lent starting 23 February 2018. Do come and spend some time to pray during your lunch break.
